Lessons & Pricing

Weekly Lessons

Weekly lessons are the most common way of learning to drive. They are on a regular weekly basis where you will follow the learning path until you are ready to go to test. They are generally two hours long as we feel this is the best period of time to complete a lesson objective. Before you start your weekly lessons, you will need your provisional licence and to be able to read a car number plate from a distance of 20.5metres. These lessons are great if you have some experience driving or no experience at all.

Intensive Courses

Intensive courses are a great way to learn to drive and pass in a short space of time. Ideal if you have a week or two with no commitments and can focus on driving. The lessons are generally 4 – 6 hours and can be up to two weeks depending on the hours you need. We always carry out a two hour assessment at a normal lesson price in order to give an approximate number of hours needed for you to complete an intensive course. An intensive can be for a student who has some experience driving or no experience at all.

Before you start an intensive, you will need to have passed your theory test and have a practical test date booked which we can both do. You must be able to read a car number plate from a distance of 20.5metres. We then aim to complete your intensive in the week or so beforehand. For more information on this, please call us.

DVSA Practical Driving Test

Your practical test will involve attending Herne Bay test Centre when we both agree you are ready to take your driving test. The examiner will check your driver’s licence, ask you to read a number plate at a minimum distance of 20.5 metres and then explain the practical test to you. You have the option of your instructor going with you on test but they can not say or do anything whilst on test. The examiner will ask you one of the government tell me questions and one of the show me questions whilst you are driving.

At the end of the test, the examiner will debrief you whatever your result. The instructor can be present for this and this is always advisable.
